According to statistics from the Air Logistics Branch of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, a total of 115 new international air cargo routes will be opened in China in the first eight months of 2026, with 292 new round-trip flights per week, continuously weaving a dense air cargo network facing the world. From the perspective of route distribution structure, the number of newly added routes is mainly in the Asian region, with a total of 57 routes, mainly covering manufacturing clusters in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and other surrounding areas, supporting small batch emergency cargo turnover in the regional supply chain; The European routes have steadily expanded to 41, ensuring the stable shipment of foreign trade industrial products such as electromechanical and precision equipment; Thirteen new routes have been added to North America, while three regular all cargo routes have been added to Africa and one to South America, gradually reducing reliance on single regional routes. A typical case is the Chengdu Tianfu Addis Ababa regular all cargo flight route, which officially opened at the end of August. It uses Boeing 777F all cargo aircraft to operate, with an initial frequency of 2 flights per week. The plan is to increase the frequency to 4 flights per week, filling the capacity gap of all cargo aircraft directly to Africa from the southwest region. The outbound cargo mainly consists of high value-added manufactured products such as new energy equipment, photovoltaic products, and lithium batteries. On the return trip, African characteristic agricultural products can be imported, and the goods can be transferred to major cities in multiple African countries through the Addis Ababa hub.

Major domestic airports are synchronously promoting the upgrading of freight infrastructure, building and renovating intelligent cargo stations, introducing automated sorting, three-dimensional warehousing, and temperature controlled warehousing equipment, vigorously developing air land intermodal transportation, truck flights, and cross-border consolidation business, and continuously improving consolidation and transit capabilities. The Yangtze River Delta (Shanghai Pudong, Nanjing Lukou), Pearl River Delta (Shenzhen Bao'an), and Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport have formed three core distribution hubs for domestic high-tech product air transportation, supporting convenient customs clearance services such as pre clearance and one-stop inspection at different cargo terminals. Precision machinery, semiconductor components, electronic components and other foreign trade goods from surrounding cities can be declared in advance and connected to the airport for installation by land transportation, greatly reducing the overall shipping time. At the same time, domestic and overseas airlines jointly participate in route operations, and the market supply entities are more diversified. The overall capacity structure continues to optimize, providing more differentiated air transport solutions such as charter, charter, and general cargo consolidation for foreign trade manufacturing enterprises, supporting the diversified layout of China's foreign trade market.
